Truth Will Emerge From Inquiry

BARAMATI, 10 NOV. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar responded to the controversy surrounding his son Parth Pawar’s company, Amedia, which is accused of illegally purchasing 40 acres of Mahar Watan land in the Koregaon Park area. Speaking to reporters in Baramati on Sunday, Pawar asserted that a complete inquiry into the land purchase is now underway and the full facts and truth will be presented to the public. He vehemently denied any financial wrongdoing, stating that Parth Pawar has not engaged in even a single rupee's worth of transaction in the matter, and he is perplexed as to how a document could have been created without any payment. He expects a clarification on the matter within one month, noting that capable officers have been appointed to the inquiry committee.

Pawar dismissed the allegations as politically motivated, a common occurrence during election times. He drew a parallel to a previous period when he himself faced an allegation of ₹60–70 thousand crores, emphasizing that such accusations surface when elections approach. He stressed that transparent work is essential and maintained that officials must not carry out any work that is against the rules, even if a close worker or relative uses his name to push it. He concluded his statement on the matter by saying that if there is evidence, an inquiry must take place.

Regarding upcoming polls, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed focus on the Baramati and Malegaon Nagar Panchayat elections, promising to bring about a complete transformation in those local bodies. He also clarified that his son, Jay Pawar, will not be contesting the Baramati Municipal Council election.
