PUNE, 23 NOV. Late at night in Pune's Narayan Peth, a youth and a girl traveling with him drove a speeding car and collided with several vehicles parked on the roadside. Local residents reported that the youth crashed into and severely damaged multiple vehicles. When citizens stopped the youth after the accident and attempted to question him, he was found to be heavily intoxicated. While drunk, he began shouting and intimidating the public by claiming to be the son of a police officer, which escalated the dispute on the road and drew a large crowd.
According to some eyewitnesses, there were four people in the car—two young men and two young women—all of whom were reportedly in a drunken state. Eyewitnesses also reported that the youth's car forcefully struck a disabled person. However, no accurate information is yet available about where these four people came from. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Meanwhile, the Vishrambagh Police immediately reached the spot. Police officials recorded the complaints from both sides and brought the situation under control. Police officials confirmed that further investigation is underway and strict action will be taken against those who violated the rules.
