The real revolution in farming has begun through the use of modern machinery. Traditional farming methods are now being strengthened with advanced technology, empowering farmers with tools of progress. Agricultural mechanisation is not merely a government scheme—it is the foundation of agricultural development,” said Maharashtra’s Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne.
On the auspicious occasion of Diwali Padwa, subsidised tractors and farm implements were distributed to farmers under the Agricultural Mechanisation Scheme in Indapur taluka. A total of 51 tractors and eight types of modern farm equipment were handed over to beneficiaries by Minister Bharne.
The event was attended by Tehsildar Jeevan Bansode, Block Development Officer Sachin Khude, Taluka Agriculture Officer Deepak Gargade, along with officials from the agriculture department, beneficiary farmers, and tractor distributors.
Minister Bharne highlighted that the use of modern machinery will significantly reduce production costs, make agriculture more profitable, and encourage youth participation in farming.
He added, “A total of 23,597 farmers from Indapur taluka have been selected under this scheme, out of which 9,821 farmers are eligible for tractor assistance. In the first phase, 51 beneficiaries received their tractors today, while others will soon get their tractors and tools through bank assistance.”
He further stated, “This initiative will make Indapur taluka’s agriculture more productive, progressive, and profitable. With the use of artificial intelligence, drone technology, and modern equipment, Indapur has the potential to become a model taluka in the state. The youth must pursue agricultural education and adopt an innovative approach to farming.”
Minister Bharne also appreciated the efforts of Taluka Agriculture Officer Deepak Gargade and his team for efficiently organising the event and expressed his satisfaction over the successful implementation of the scheme.
