After the voter fraud controversy in Karad South, similar serious irregularities have now surfaced in the Karad North Assembly Constituency.
District President of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction), Sunil Mane, held a press conference presenting evidence of fake and duplicate voter registrations, directly blaming the administration. He claimed that names have been registered using addresses of temples, schools, and offices, calling it “a cruel mockery of democracy.” Mane said that a petition has been filed in the Bombay High Court (Kolhapur Bench) regarding the issue.
Former Rahimatpur Municipal Council President Ananda Kore, along with Avinash Mane, Ramesh Mane, Vidyadhar Bajare, Vikas Pawar, Vikrant Bhosale, Sagar Shedge, Ganesh Chavan, Dheeraj Mane, and Neelam Bholse, were present.
Mane revealed shocking examples:

At House No. 1860, where Dr. Vasantrao Patil School actually operates, 19 voters have been registered.

At House No. 1957, which is Hanuman Temple, 12 voters are listed.

At House No. 1688, names of 37 voters from different castes and religions have been registered.

A study of 10 municipal wards in Rahimatpur found 617 duplicate voters.
Mane emphasized that such names must be removed from the electoral rolls to ensure transparency in upcoming local body elections. He also stated that a petition has been filed in the Kolhapur Bench of the Bombay High Court against BLOs (Booth Level Officers) and election officers, with senior advocate Asim Sarode representing the case.
Additionally, Mane alleged that BLO Jyoti Abhijit Chavan-Jadhav registered her name in three different wards and voted in all three places during the assembly elections. He expressed anger that instead of taking action against the accused officials, the administration filed cases against his party workers.
Meanwhile, the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) announced its support for Ganesh Pawar’s sit-in protest at Kapil (Tal. Karad), demanding criminal cases against those involved in the fake voter scam. District President Sunil Mane personally visited the protest site to express solidarity.
