The Alandi Municipal Council has initiated inspections of coaching classes and other establishments operating in the city following the tragic death of eight students from Alandi during a trip to Diveagar.
As part of the inspection drive, a team from the Alandi Municipal Council conducted an on-site inspection of the Winners Academy building. During the inspection, officials found that Winners Academy Coaching Classes was operating from property owned by Narayan Haribhau Das, bearing property number Old 1137 and New LAN00001729.
According to the records available with the Municipal Council, the establishment was not found to have obtained the required business licence or No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the civic body.
Officials subsequently directed that necessary action be taken in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
Following the directions of Chief Officer Madhav Khandekar, a Municipal Council team led by Tax Department Head Seema Charve carried out the action of sealing the Winners Academy premises. Officers and personnel from the police administration were also present during the operation.
The Municipal Council stated that the action was undertaken to ensure that establishments operating within its jurisdiction obtain the necessary permissions and comply with applicable rules and regulations, as well as to ensure effective implementation of the relevant legal provisions. - Alandi Municipal Council, Alandi
