Cosmos Co-operative Bank has recently launched two new branches in Telangana state — at Hanamkonda, Warangal, and L.B. Nagar, Hyderabad. The Warangal branch, the bank's 194th, was inaugurated by bank director Shri Ajit Gijre.
The L.B. Nagar, Hyderabad branch — the bank's 195th — was inaugurated by bank chairman Shri Sachin Apte. Telangana Director General of Police Shri Mahesh Bhagwat was present on the occasion. Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Apte said the bank now has a total of seven branches in Telangana. He added that Cosmos Bank plans a major expansion of its branch network across South India in the coming period, including Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Hubli, Chennai, and Tiruppur. The bank aims to reach a total of 200 branches by the end of November 2026. Apte also said that, alongside South India, the bank plans to open branches in the Konkan region.
The inauguration was also attended by bank vice-chairman CA Dr. Yashwant Kasar, senior director Adv. Prahlad Kokre, managing director Smt. Apeksheeta Thipsay, deputy chief general manager (South zone) Shri Umesh Belhe, along with other senior officials and a large number of customers.
