Across the country, protests are spreading against unprecedented corruption and a government accused of organised plunder. Do you see and hear the footsteps of a mass uprising?
Police beatings, pellet guns, batons studded with nails, and attacks by RSS and ABVP cadres have all failed to silence the protesters.
Yesterday, students surrounded the Nagpur headquarters of those who glorify Gandhi’s assassins and kept it under siege for hours.
The rulers will have to answer.
One hundred and fifty-seven examination paper leaks in ten years! Never before has India witnessed corruption in education on such a scale.
The newly inaugurated Ram Temple has reportedly witnessed theft nearly seventy times. Lakhs of crores of rupees and thousands of kilograms of gold are involved—and the institutions remain under the control of the RSS, BJP and BHP.
From Kedarnath and Badrinath to Mathura, Vrindavan and Vaishno Devi, enormous quantities of gold and thousands of crores of rupees have allegedly been looted from temples.
Modi, Amit Shah and senior RSS-BJP-BHP functionaries were represented on the trustee boards.
Who will answer for this?
Data relating to India’s largest nuclear power facility—reportedly involving ninety-two lakh records—was leaked. It was supposed to be highly protected and strictly confidential.
Who compromised it?
Why did 130 scientists reportedly resign from ISRO?
Why are the Union ministers completely silent?
Who handed over India’s dense forests, rivers, lakes, hills and mountains to private interests for token sums of one rupee or one hundred rupees?
The rulers will have to speak.
And then there is the India-US trade deal. American agricultural products and duty-free imports could flood the Indian market. Indian farmers, already trapped in a devastating crisis, may be pushed into an even deeper catastrophe.
The deaths of Indian farmers have already become an everyday tragedy. Then comes petrol blended with ethanol—the politics of private profit disguised as national policy. The plan is to keep increasing the percentage of ethanol in petrol and force it upon consumers. Gadkari, are crores of Indians being misled merely to protect the business interests and profits of your two sons?
The Education Minister is Dharmendra Pradhan. He is an excellent performer. Perhaps he should dance with Hema Malini or perform Bhojpuri entertainment in Odisha and Bihar. His own daughter studies abroad.
The children of almost every powerful Cabinet minister study abroad, while the sons and daughters of ordinary Indians are left to suffer—and, apparently, to die.
Throughout the freedom struggle, your ideological ancestors licked the boots of the British. They betrayed revolutionaries and collected rewards from the colonial rulers.
In books, speeches and cartoons, they portrayed Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters as Ravanas and symbolically fired arrows at them.
Your Godse, Narayan Apte and Madanlal Pahwa were allegedly involved in repeated attempts to assassinate Gandhi before the final murder.
Was that one of your “great national duties”?
The Sangh Parivar stands submerged in pollution, wrongdoing and moral sin.
Devotees donated money, jewellery, gold and diamonds to temples out of faith and reverence. Yet those sacred offerings have allegedly been plundered by organisations and functionaries associated with the RSS-BJP-BHP establishment.
And now, wearing sandals and carrying nail-studded batons, you attack and humiliate students.
You insult Rabindranath Tagore, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar and Raja Rammohan Roy.
Do you even know who they were?
Have the masters sitting in Nagpur ever seriously read their works?
You call Netaji the leader of hooligans?
Have you read Swami Vivekananda?
Do you know anything about the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Chaitanya?
You are manufacturing an army of medieval, brutal, uneducated marauders.
Compared with you, even the thieves and criminals of West Bengal appear like children.
Across the country, opposition MPs and MLAs are being purchased.
Political garbage is collected and embraced as treasure.
Some are threatened with prison. Others are bought with crores of rupees.
And then you lecture the nation about morality!
Mann Ki Baat has become little more than endless talk—grand speeches without accountability.
You call yourself a fakir.
Then whose money pays for your year-round tours across India and abroad?
What kind of residence do you live in?
What kind of clothes do you wear?
And how does a self-proclaimed fakir accumulate crores of rupees in his account?
India is asking questions.
This time, speeches will not be enough.
The accounts must be opened.
The truth must be told.
And those in power must answer.
