Former MLA and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) city chief Ravindra Dhangekar today revealed that he was instructed by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde not to speak against any political party or individual, nevertheless he will continue to voice his opinions.
Clarifying his stance on the Jain Boarding property sale issue, Dhangekar said he is not speaking against any particular person but against the corrupt tendencies of those who exploit property for personal gain.
"Our opposition is not to any party or person but to such unethical behaviour. The interests of Pune’s citizens are our top priority over party politics," he asserted and continued, "We oppose those who misuse their powers and government machinery to fill their own coffers for personal luxury."
"Our only demand is that the Jain temple and Jain Boarding properties be returned to their rightful owners. We will continue our protest on the streets until justice is done," he added.
Dhangekar mentioned that he has the support of honest BJP workers, clarifying that his opposition is only against criminals and contractors, not against sincere party members.
