BARAMATI, 12 NOV, The Baramati Municipal Council is considered the stronghold of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Now, on the Pawar family's home turf, there are indications that the Uncle (Sharad Pawar) and Nephew (Ajit Pawar) might come together. An alliance between the NCP led by Ajit Pawar and the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) might be seen in the upcoming elections.
According to internal information, the Ajit Pawar faction is likely to leave some seats for the post of corporator in the city for the Sharad Pawar faction. If this initiative starts in Baramati, the alliance could potentially spread across the state. Therefore, all eyes are on this election.
Interviews and Discussion on Seat Sharing
On Thursday, November 13, Ajit Pawar will interview aspiring corporators for the Baramati Municipal Council. During this, he might announce the candidate for the Mayor's post. However, if consensus is not reached for the Mayor's post, Ajit Pawar might first finalize the 41 corporator seats. It is during this process that the possibility of him leaving some seats for the Sharad Pawar faction is being anticipated.
On the other hand, Yugendra Pawar (from the Sharad Pawar faction) had earlier interviewed candidates aspiring for seats from his party on Monday. He also discussed with the candidates interested in the Malegaon Nagar Panchayat election.

If this reconciliation truly materializes in Malegaon and Baramati, its impact could be seen across the entire state. These two groups might also come together in other places across the state. However, the Sharad Pawar faction has the prior experience where Ajit Pawar kept their office bearers waiting until the very end during the elections for the Chhatrapati Sugar Mill in Indapur taluka and the Malegaon Sugar Mill in Baramati taluka, and they gained nothing.
In light of this past experience, whether this remains just a discussion and rumor, or if Ajit Pawar genuinely reconciles with the Sharad Pawar faction to send a warning to the BJP in the current state political scenario, will be decided in the coming days.
