PUNE, 13 NOV. Vidya Shankar Bade (Sangle), the officiating Joint Sub-Registrar of the Haveli Sub-Registrar Office in Pune, has been suspended on charges of violating rules in the purchase and sale of government-owned land located at Tathawade near Pune. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule had ordered the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) to take action in this regard.
The irregularity was found in the registration of Sale Deed Document No. 685/2025 for a total of 6 hectares and 32 R (6.32 hectares) of land in Survey No. 20 of Mauje Tathawade, Taluka Mulshi, near Pune. This land is under the possession of the Commissioner of Animal Husbandry, and it is a property whose purchase and sale are restricted without prior permission from the Government.
During the registration of the document, Bade ignored the requirement to attach the latest or recent 'Saatbara Utara' (land record). She accepted an old Saatbara. Had she checked the Saatbara applicable on the date of document registration, the restrictive remark 'Purchase and sale prohibited without prior permission from the Government' would have been visible, and the document registration could have been rejected.
The Inspector General of Registration stated that even though the owner mentioned in the record was deceased and the heirs were not recorded, the document registration was completed by using the 'Skip' option, citing technical difficulties. She did not seek any permission from her superiors for this, and it appears that an attempt was made to complete this transaction by committing other irregularities.
