PUNE, 10 NOV. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, speaking to the media in Pune on Sunday after attending an event organized by the Patit Pawan Sanghatana, addressed the controversial Mahar Watan Land Deal in Mundhwa. The controversy revolves around a company in which Parth Pawar, son of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, is a partner. Shinde urged the public to wait for the state government's official inquiry report on the matter, assuring that the investigation "will make the case clear" and that "everything will come forward." He emphasized the government's stance, stating, "The government won't tolerate anything wrong." Shinde also noted that Chief Minister himself has intervened in the matter and that Ajit Pawar has already provided some clarification. Concluding his remarks on the issue, Shinde used the popular Hindi idiom, affirming that the final report will reveal the absolute truth, saying, "Wait for the report; the report will tell 'doodh ka doodh pani ka pani' (the milk from the water, meaning: the truth from the lie)." When questioned about an alleged rift between the Shiv Sena and the BJP, Shinde dismissed the rumors, asserting that the Mahayuti alliance is focused on development and ideology, not mere seat sharing or gaining power, with the goal of bringing prosperity to the state and its people.
