Dr. Hiralal Yadav, a senior IAS officer and Secretary in the Government of Uttar Pradesh, has praised the welfare initiatives undertaken by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune, describing them as inspirational for the empowerment of Scheduled Caste students through higher education.
During his visit to BARTI, Dr. Yadav said the institute's comprehensive programmes serve as a model for social empowerment and suggested that BARTI and the Social Justice Department of the Uttar Pradesh Government should collaborate on projects of mutual interest in the future.
Commissioner of Social Welfare and Director General of BARTI, Deepa Mudhol-Munde, briefed Dr. Yadav on the institute's various educational, training, and welfare schemes designed to support students from Scheduled Castes. As part of the visit, Dr. Yadav was felicitated with a copy of the Constitution of India and a statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Dr. Yadav was informed about BARTI's initiatives, which include coaching and training for competitive examinations such as UPSC, MPSC, JEE, and NEET, skill development programmes, scholarships for Ph.D. scholars, and other educational support schemes. He also reviewed BARTI's efforts in publishing and distributing books on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, volumes of his writings, and literature related to the Constitution of India.
The visit was attended by Dr. Baban Jogdand, Head of Department, Project Managers Nitin Sahare, Mahesh Gawai, Dhiraj Khade, Ramdas Lokhande, along with other officers and staff members of BARTI.
