India’s most popular brand agency ImagePlanet, conferred India’s top animation colleges with awards on 28 Sep, 2019 at hotel Orchid, Bengaluru. Some of India’s top brands in animation like Arena Animation, Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), NID, FTII, Picasso Animation College, Frameboxx, Whistling Woods International, Suryadatta Institute of Graphics Multimedia & Animation etc. were nominated for the awards. VEDA College, Pune bagged the best college award in 4 categories, viz. Best Faculty, Best Placement, Best Infrastructure and Best Animation Degree College at the prestigious awards function.
VEDA College Dean Prof Dr Rishi Aacharya and VEDA Extension Center Director Saleem Sarfani were felicitated at the function by veteran animation film designer Dheemant Vyas. Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik was awarded the best animation university of the year at the award function.
While addressing the gathering, Dr Aacharya explained how renowned visionary educationist Dr P A Inamdar established VEDA College in 2010 at Azam Campus, Pune and how since then VEDA College has been in the news for its educational contribution in the field of visual effects, design and art. Students from all over India complete their BSc degree in Media Graphics and Animation from VEDA College and get placed in top companies in India and abroad.
The cover of Dr Aacharya’s latest book “The Inspiring Indian” was also released at the award ceremony.
