No Connection with Jain Boarding Land Deal : Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol

Pune, Correspondent

Union Minister of State and Pune MP Murlidhar Mohol has refuted allegations linking him to the Jain Boarding land sale case, terming them “baseless and politically motivated.” Mohol clarified that he has no connection whatsoever with the land transaction and that all his business dealings have been transparent.

Mohol’s Clarification

Speaking to the media, Mohol stated that two Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) firms he was previously associated with — which were also linked to Gokhale Builders, a party involved in the deal — were openly declared in his election affidavit.
“I officially exited both LLPs on November 25, 2024. The documents confirming this are available on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs website. Neither before nor after my exit did any financial transaction take place through these LLPs,” he said.

He further explained that the Jain Boarding Trust decided to sell its land in a meeting held on December 16, 2024, and issued a public tender notice on December 20, 2024. The final transaction was completed on October 8, 2025.
“By that time, I had resigned from the LLPs almost 11 months earlier. How can I possibly be connected to this deal?” Mohol asked.

Response to Raju Shetti’s Allegations

Reacting to allegations made by farmer leader Raju Shetti, Mohol said, “I respect Raju Shetti for his work for farmers, but before making such serious allegations, he should have spoken to me once. Had he known the real facts, these accusations would never have been made.”

Transparency in Public Life

Defending his record, Mohol added, “I have been in public life for over 30 years. My election affidavit clearly mentions my involvement in agriculture and construction businesses. I have never concealed any legitimate or transparent business activity. The people of Pune have placed their trust in me, and I intend to uphold that trust.”

He concluded by saying, “If I have done anything wrong, I am ready to be held accountable. But before making false accusations, one must verify the facts. I will never do anything that breaks the faith of Pune’s citizens.”

Political Reaction

Commenting indirectly on his critics, Mohol said some individuals who have been sidelined in politics are venting their frustration through such unfounded allegations.
“I did not react even during the election campaign, and I will not react now. I am offering this clarification not because a political leader accused me, but because I owe transparency to the people of Pune who elected me. If recent events have created doubts in their minds, I consider it my duty to clarify the truth,” Mohol added.
