Khadki Pond Inaugurated at Waghobachiwadi Under Pimpargane Gram Panchayat

A pond development project at Khadki Talav in Waghobachiwadi, under Pimpargane Gram Panchayat in the western part of Ambegaon taluka, was formally inaugurated on Wednesday (June 10). The project was undertaken through the efforts of Janjati Kalyan Ashram, Pune Mahanagar.

Several dignitaries attended the inauguration ceremony, including Company Head Anil Kumbhar, CSR Head Chandan Shirsagar, Janjati Kalyan Ashram Pune Mahanagar Vice President Sunil Bhosale, Joint Secretary Yogesh Kulkarni, Pune Division Organising Minister Arun Kathe, Raju Punekar, Sachin Tagad, Anulom Shirur Assembly Constituency Head Yogesh Chapte, Seva Sahyog Head Chintaman Wadekar, former Sarpanch Chitaman Wadekar, contractor Nitin Kharat, Taluka Head Vaman Bhoir, Gram Panchayat member Pandurang Pardhi, social activists Chahu Pardhi, Devji Wadekar and Namdev Wadekar, along with villagers, members of women's groups and other prominent guests.

The visiting dignitaries were welcomed and felicitated by the local villagers.

Speaking on behalf of the villagers, social worker Chahu Pardhi expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work carried out. He stated that the newly developed pond would help alleviate the recurring drinking water shortage faced by residents of the area.

Company Head Anil Kumbhar also expressed satisfaction that the project had been implemented at a location where it would have a meaningful impact on the community.

The event was compered by Arun Kathe and concluded with appreciation from villagers for the successful completion of the water conservation initiative, which is expected to benefit the local community significantly.
