ST Corporation should focus on resolving passenger issues
Baramati, July 7
Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar inaugurated 10 newly introduced 'Rajamata Jijau' state-of-the-art smart buses at the Baramati depot. Addressing a felicitation program for ST Corporation officers and employees at Baramati bus stand — which had won first place in the 'Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Swachh Sundar Bus Station Campaign 2025' — the Deputy CM directed the State Transport Corporation (ST) to maintain cleanliness at the Baramati bus stand premises, ensure buses run on time, and prioritize passenger safety and grievance redressal.
She said the late Deputy CM Ajit Pawar had always prioritized infrastructure development in Baramati taluka, and the Baramati bus stand — which has become a model for the country — is a testament to his vision. Baramati bus stand received a prize of ₹1 crore and a memento at a Mumbai event for topping the campaign. She congratulated the citizens of Baramati and the ST Corporation staff for this achievement, calling it a matter of pride for the entire town, while noting that this recognition also increases the responsibility of its citizens.
