BARAMATI, 13 NOV. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has assured the public to support candidates who share his vision, setting aside casteism, kinship, or factionalism, in the upcoming Baramati Municipal Council and Malegaon Nagar Panchayat elections, so that the pace of development can accelerate. He promised that he will never allow a shortage of funds and will transform the Malegaon Nagar Panchayat into a role model Nagar Panchayat in the state.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar held interviews for the Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) aspiring candidates for the Baramati Municipal Council and Malegaon Nagar Panchayat elections at the Rashtrawadi Bhavan in Baramati city on Thursday. He was addressing the convention organized on this occasion. NCP City President Jay Patil, Sachin Satav, Sambhaji Holkar, Sandeep Bandal, Subhash Somani, Yogesh Jagtap, Anita Gaikwad, Avinash Bandal, Pratap Pagle, along with other office bearers and workers, were present at the event.
No one should be disappointed
On this occasion, Deputy CM Pawar stated that 41 corporators and the Mayor (Nagaradhyaksh) need to be elected from 20 wards in the Baramati Municipal Council. Since the number of aspirants is high, no one should be disappointed. The number of aspirants is also high in the Malegaon Nagar Panchayat elections. In both places, everyone should unite and support the party by placing the clock symbol (NCP's symbol) forward, avoiding casteism, kinship, and factionalism.
Completely Transformed the City's Face
He highlighted that the beautification of the Neera Canal in Baramati city has been completed. The work on Babuji Naik Wade is in its final stage, and the Rs 150 crore shopping complex work is also nearing completion. Work on a 'Shahi Khana' (community hall) for the city's minority community is underway. An international swimming pool is being constructed in Baramati city, and the Sports Complex work is also in the final phase. The construction of the CBSE school building under the Municipal Council's Education Board is also in progress. "Through such various development projects, we have completely transformed the face of the city," he said.
He further mentioned that five years have passed since the establishment of the Malegaon Nagar Panchayat, and development works worth many times more than the Nagar Panchayat's budget have been sanctioned. Development projects worth over Rs 350 crore are currently underway there.
There will never be a shortage of funds
"To push this development forward, give a chance to candidates who align with my vision. By standing behind the clock symbol, we will never allow a shortage of funds," he asserted.
He criticized the opposition, stating, "Whatever the opponents say during the election, they do not face the public afterward. Apart from politics, I only want to do the politics of development. Whatever happens, I will never abandon the ideology of Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu, Phule, and Ambedkar. I will not let injustice happen to anyone. Every section will receive justice. This is not a battle of votes, but a test of development. Keep personal animosity aside and unite to elect a Mayor who shares our views in both cities."
He concluded by saying, "Many people will come to speak, but the only one who works is Ajit Pawar. I am not praising myself; my work speaks for itself."
