Reservation is Justice, Not Charity: Narayan Bagde at Dhammachakra Parivartan Din Rally

Mumbai / Ramesh Autade

“Reservation is not a favor, but a repayment of centuries of injustice perpetrated by the system,” asserted Narayan Bagde, National President of Ambedkari Republican Morcha. He was speaking as chairperson at the Reservation Implementation Rally held on the eve of Dhammachakra Parivartan Din. The rally was inaugurated by Surdas Sachin Ambhore, with dignitaries Namdevrao Nikose, Ravi Shende, and Dr. Asha Pardhepresent.

Bagde emphasized that while reservation has benefited many who have risen to high positions, most of them failed to shoulder responsibility towards their community. “Even today, people struggle for basic needs—food, clothing, and shelter—by running from pillar to post before government offices,” he said, urging activists to unite and take concrete steps for strict implementation of reservation policies.

The program was conducted by Prof. Ramesh Dupare, while Dharmaji Bagde delivered the vote of thanks.
