Pune Metro project : Raut accuses BJP, Shinde leaders of Rs 12,000 crore corruption!

Pune, 4 oct 2025 : Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut today accused a BJP leader and two from the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) of illegally pocketing a total of Rs 12,000 crore in the Pune Metro project.

Speaking to reporters, Raut alleged that Pune’s administration is effectively run by “three gang leaders” who have divided bureaucratic responsibilities among themselves.

He further claimed that the city's top officials, including the Police Commissioner, District Collector, and Municipal Commissioner, were all appointed at the behest of these leaders. Raut specifically alleged that Pune's Police Commissioner is a BJP worker.

The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader also strongly criticised Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, stating he has “sold out” to Mumbai industrialist Gautam Adani.

“He is a Chief Minister working on commissions and has turned a deaf ear to farmers’ problems,” Raut alleged.
He added that announcements of aid for farmers affected by heavy rainfall and floods would only be made through Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he visits Maharashtra.

Raut called CM Fadnavis “very stingy” and demanded that he provide immediate relief to the rain- and flood-affected farmers.

On internal politics, Raut praised the recent Dussehra speech by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, calling it “the real Dussehra gathering.”
