Maharashtra Social Justice Minister Reviews BARTI Welfare and Training Schemes in Pune

Maharashtra Minister of State for Social Justice, Madhuri Misal, conducted a comprehensive review of various welfare, training, and educational initiatives being implemented by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) during a meeting held at the Vidhan Bhavan in Pune on Tuesday.

During the review meeting, officials presented details of BARTI's key programs, including coaching for competitive examinations, fellowship schemes, IBPS banking exam training, police recruitment preparation, JEE coaching, and skill development initiatives designed for students from Scheduled Caste communities. Information regarding scholarships and other educational support programs was also discussed.

Minister Misal emphasized the need for BARTI to provide high-quality and result-oriented training to students. She directed officials to collaborate with reputed institutions to ensure effective coaching and better outcomes for beneficiaries.

The Minister also instructed authorities to explore measures to simplify the caste validity verification process and ensure the timely issuance of caste validity certificates to eligible students, thereby reducing administrative hurdles in accessing educational benefits.

The meeting began with a detailed presentation on BARTI's activities and achievements by Registrar Dr. Suchita Shinde.

Among those present at the meeting were Social Welfare Commissioner and Acting Director General of BARTI Deepa Mudhol-Munde, Registrar Dr. Suchita Shinde, Department Heads Ravindra Kadam and Dr. Baban Jogdand, Accounts Officer Nitin Chavan, along with senior officials from the Social Welfare Department and BARTI.
