Government Hostel Admission Open for Backward Class Girls in Pune
Pune, June 19:
The Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Government Girls’ Hostel (Meritorious Category), Yerawada, Pune, functioning under the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra, has announced admissions for the academic year 2026–27.
Admissions will be granted against vacant seats to eligible girls studying in Classes XI and XII (all streams) belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Special Backward Classes, differently-abled students, and orphan girls, subject to the reservation percentages prescribed by the Government.
The hostel has accommodation for a minimum of 85 students. Girls who secure admission will receive several benefits from the Government, including:
- Free accommodation and meals
- Stationery materials
- Bedding and blankets
- Monthly maintenance allowance of ₹1,500 per student
- Sanitation and hygiene allowance of ₹150 per month
The hostel is also equipped with a dedicated computer room and a modern library to support students’ academic development.
The online admission process for all courses under the Social Justice Department has commenced for the academic year 2026–27. Eligible students are requested to submit their applications online through the website: https://hmasnew.mahait.org.
