Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the opposition to task for tearing up documents in Parliament and throwing pieces in the air, making rude remarks on the process of passing the bill. He criticized the behavior of the opposition as an insult to Parliament, the Constitution and the people.
Modi was speaking at a Bharatiya Janata Party parliamentary party meeting. On this occasion, Modi was congratulated for giving reservation to OBC and economically backward students in medical courses.

Sen was therefore suspended during the session. Due to the uproar over Pegasus issue and the new agricultural laws, the proceedings of parliament monsoon session couldn't be completed for a single day in a two-week period.
