Considering the seriousness of the safety violations, it has directed them to be sacked.

An Air India Boeing 787 aircraft crashed in Meghani, a short distance from the Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat. More than 270 people died in the accident. Following the accident, India’s civil aviation regulator, DGCA, has asked Air India to immediately sack three employees for serious safety violations found in the recent Ahmedabad plane crash. The order comes just days after a Boeing 787 8 Dreamliner crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on June 12, killing more than 270 people.

Many of the bodies were badly burned and could not be identified, so DNA tests were also conducted on the dead after the accident. Of the 242 passengers on board, only one survived.

DNA matching is underway to identify the bodies. So far, 202 bodies have been identified out of 220 samples. They include 160 Indians, 7 Portuguese, 34 British and 1 Canadian. During the thorough investigation after the accident, the DGCA has demanded the immediate suspension of three Air India employees. Also, preliminary information from the black box is being collected. The accident could have been caused by any technical fault related to the engine, slide, flap or take-off.

Electrical system failure

The initial investigation has shown that the power supply to the main electrical system of the plane was cut off within seconds of takeoff. All the evidence found at the scene, the wreckage of the plane and the video of the take-off accident indicate that there was some electrical problem, and the reason for this will be known after receiving the data from the black box.

The black box can be sent to the US

The official said that the black box and DVR have been found, but these devices are badly damaged, and it will be very difficult to extract data from them. Discussions are also underway to send the black box to the US.

Air India has cancelled the following international flights:

Air India flight AI159 from Ahmedabad to London’s Gatwick Airport was cancelled due to the unavailability of an aircraft. The flight was scheduled to take off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 3 pm. The company said: the aircraft was not available due to airspace restrictions and additional precautionary checks.

At the same time, Delhi to Paris flight AI143 was cancelled due to a technical snag. Flight AI170 from London (Gatwick) to Amritsar has been cancelled. The company said that Iran has closed its airspace due to the war with Israel, which is affecting flights to Europe. Apart from this, many other flights have also been cancelled. Almost all of them have the same reason.

Apology from Air India

The company said that they are sorry for the inconvenience caused to their passengers, and they have made alternative arrangements to reach their destination. We are arranging hotel accommodation and have offered a full refund or rescheduling in case of cancellation of the journey. The company also said that it is making alternative arrangements to take passengers to their destination as soon as possible.
