Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government over the Gorakhpur model and Gujarat model. Yadav made these remarks while sharing a video of Governor Anandiben Patel on social media.

He alleged that with the Gorakhpur model being exposed, allegations of alleged corruption in the Gujarat model have also surfaced as a comparison. Akhilesh Yadav, in a statement released on social media on Friday, said that the commonality between the two models is that both states have BJP governments and allegations of massive corruption are being leveled in both states.

Taking a dig at the BJP's 'double engine' model, he said that internal conflict has turned the 'double engine' into a 'trouble engine'.

The Samajwadi Party president alleged that there is a huge difference between the claims of the BJP government and its working style and now the reality of its model is coming before the public.

On Thursday , during a function at the Gorakhpur University, Governor Anandiben Patel had slammed the authorities over the condition of the boys' and girls hostels. She questioned why the food in the boys' hostel was brought from outside through tiffins. She asked the authorities to rectify all the lapses within 3 months' time.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party, alleging it practises “Yadavism” rather than socialism, while also signalling openness to pre-poll alliances ahead of upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a public meeting at the “Paigam-e-Ittehad” event in Najibabad, Owaisi said political parties have long denied Muslims leadership opportunities and urged the community to move beyond being treated only as voters.
“We are ready to form an alliance with any party. AIMIM is ready for dialogue. Now the discussion will be about sharing power, not just the carpet,” he said, adding that his party is preparing for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

He accused both the Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party of failing to address issues affecting Muslims, including youth unemployment and alleged irregularities in recruitment exams, citing paper leak controversies in Uttar Pradesh police recruitment.

Raising the issue of paper leaks in the UP Police recruitment exam, Owaisi said that the future of the youth has been compromised and the Yogi government in UP has failed to respond.

Referring to the controversy surrounding the Ram Temple Trust and donations, he said that if a Muslim had been made a member of the trust, any dispute would have been resolved by taking action against him.

Owaisi also criticised the handling of religious and institutional disputes, including matters related to the Ram Temple Trust, and alleged that Muslims were being politically marginalised.

Owaisi accused the BJP of playing communal politics. He said, "The Sambhal mosque has been 'martyrized.' Now, notices are being issued to other mosques as well. If Muslims remain only voters, their children's future will not improve. AIMIM is fighting to make people leaders."

He claimed that political parties have denied Muslims leadership for 70 years. He said that the BJP refuses to give Muslims tickets, while the Samajwadi Party has exploited them. He added that Muslims should not be reduced to mere voters.

Taking aim at the Election Commission, he said political parties must always remain prepared for elections, whether held on schedule or earlier than expected.

He said, "The Election Commission has the authority to conduct elections. If the Commission wishes, it can even hold elections ahead of schedule. The decision rests with the Election Commission, but political parties should be prepared for elections at all times.'

Owaisi said, “We don’t know when the elections will be held, but it is important to be fully prepared. This event has been organized in anticipation of the upcoming Assembly elections. We made it clear at the Matera meeting that our party is ready to form an alliance with anyone to prevent the BJP from coming to power.”

He said that his party has been working to strengthen its organization in Uttar Pradesh for many years. “We are preparing for the 2027 Assembly elections,” he added.

The AIMIM leader claimed his party has been strengthening its organisation in Uttar Pradesh for several years and is ready to play a larger role in shaping the state’s political landscape.

Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief and Uttar Pradesh Panchayatiraj minister Om Prakash Rajbhar continued his attack on Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav claiming that his dream to come to power in the state will never be fulfilled.

Rajbhar alleged that the Bahujan Samaj will be torchured by the so called PDA, if SP comes to power in UP.

Rajbhar and Akhilesh Yadav are attacking each other on social media and it is likely to escalate further as the assembly elections dates come near. Rajbhar was with Akhilesh Yadav in the 2022 assembly polls but later he switched over to NDA before 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

In a fresh long social media post on Monday, Rajbhar wrote," Listen, 'Raja Babu' aka Akhilesh Yadav ji!. I know that one section of your supporters is oiling their sticks, while the other is sharpening their knives and swords.

We know that for the past 10 years, you have been harboring a grudge against us.
You're just dreaming of changing the government so that somehow 'Raja Babu', that is, your government, can be formed and your goons, hooligans, and mafia, wearing red caps, can take over police stations."

He said," after coming to power, your people will launch the PDA ,when Ahir will beat', 'Minority will beat' and 'Ahir will kill', 'Minority will kill' campaigns across the state."

" We know that your softest targets will be Bahujan castes like Pal, Prajapati, Bind, Kewat, Mallah, Rajbhar, Nishad, Manjhi, Darji, Teli, Loniya, Fakir, and Banjara. You will beat us, incite riots, allow SP Muslims to loot our homes, then set them on fire, and do evil to our sisters and daughters".

He further added," We also know that your supporters have been eyeing our homes and lands like vultures for the last ten years.They are daily inquiring about the prices of our homes and farms in order to seize them. This is what your supporters are saying, just give us one more chance. Then we will tell you."

"So listen, Akhilesh ji!. We, the people of Bahujan castes, will never give you the opportunity to have our homes looted, our lands seized, or our loved ones murdered.You lost in 17, lost in 22, and now you'll wipe out the SP in 27. Write it down," he claimed.

However Akhilesh Yadav has not yet replied to Rajbhar's statement.

He expressed concern over the increasing pattern of aggression towards the community, citing incidents such as.

- Violent Attack on Jain Monks: A brutal attack on Jain monks in Singoli, Madhya Pradesh.
- Objectionable Remarks: A leaked audio clip from Jabalpur allegedly containing derogatory remarks against Jains by BJP members.
- Temple Demolition: The demolition of a Jain temple in Mumbai, where sacred idols, scriptures, and religious books were allegedly disrespected.

Akhilesh Yadav questioned why such incidents occur primarily in BJP-ruled states, alleging that BJP-backed elements target Jain properties. He emphasized Jainism's contribution to India's society and assured the community of support, stating that the BJP's actions won't weaken them. He also praised the Jain philosophy of non-violence, co-existence, and compassion, highlighting its immense contribution to India's culture, economy, and education.

The Congress party has also responded to the incident, with Rajesh Kumar Sethi, national coordinator of the AICC's minority department, writing to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to demand justice and an investigation into the BMC authorities' action. Sethi emphasized that the temple's destruction was an affront to Maharashtra's secular ethos and demanded personal attention to heal the wound inflicted on the Jain community.

In response to the incident, the Jain community in Jodhpur staged a large-scale silent protest, spotlighting the attack on Jain monks in Madhya Pradesh's Neemuch and the demolition of the Jain temple in Mumbai.
