Gandhi also criticized the government's decisions on demonetization and Goods and Services Tax, demanding an apology for these mistakes. He alleged that the government is run by only two people and favors select individuals, such as Ambani and Adani, for major contracts.

Gandhi expressed gratitude towards Maharashtra's great men, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, who inspired the country. He emphasized that the ideology of Shiv Chhatrapati is the Congress's ideology and that there is a war between two ideologies - one of inclusivity and another of exclusivity.

Gandhi also criticized the BJP's politics of hatred, alleging that they create divisions between religions, castes, and regions. He cited the example of Manipur, which has been experiencing violence for over a year, and accused the Prime Minister of ignoring the issue.

A round of rhetoric has started among all the political parties regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Congress leader and former Union Minister P Chidambaram took a dig at the Modi government and said that we welcome the Centre's decision to reduce the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 100, but will PM Modi assure that if BJP comes to power again, LPG Cylinder prices will not increase.

Will eliminate unemployment- Chidambaram
Chidambaram said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has given five guarantees to the country before the Lok Sabha elections. These will be converted into election assurances in the election manifesto of Congress. He said the guarantees include eliminating unemployment, a new law to prevent paper leaks, social security for gig economy workers and capital support for youth to start enterprises on their own.

Will control question paper leaks: Chidambaram
Chidambaram, head of the Congress's election manifesto committee, said these will be fulfilled if the Congress-led alliance comes to power in the Lok Sabha elections. Elaborating on the assurances, he said that the law on question paper leak will ensure that the culprits are punished besides being prosecuted in fast-track courts and the victims will also be compensated.

PM's announcement only till elections- Chidambaram
Chidambaram said that from February 22 to March 7, the Prime Minister had announced projects worth more than Rs 5.90 lakh crore for the country, including Rs 17,300 crore for Tamil Nadu. No mention of these was found in the Union Budget. Making a sharp attack on the Modi government, he said that the Modi government has not taken concrete steps to solve the problem of unemployment. Chidambaram said that if Congress comes back to power at the Centre, the Agneepath scheme will be scrapped.
