PUNE, 8 NOV. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, speaking in Nagpur, gave a clear assurance that no one involved in the current Pune land scam, which is gaining attention across the state, will be spared, and definite action will be taken against the guilty. The case involves the company of Parth Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister and prominent NCP leader Ajit Pawar, allegedly acquiring 40 acres of government land in Pune at a very low price. Documented evidence also surfaced, showing that only ₹500 was charged as stamp duty for this land purchase transaction. After the Opposition targeted the government over the issue, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered an inquiry. Fadnavis, who was in Nagpur for an event on Friday night, told media representatives who questioned him about the scam that an inquiry has been ordered and action has been taken against some officials. He reiterated, "No one will be spared, and action will be taken." The matter began with a complaint filed by Joint District Registrar Class 1 Officer Santosh Ashok Hingane at Bawdhan Police Station against Sheetal Tejvani (the land seller), Digvijay Patil (Parth Pawar's partner in the Amedia company), and Joint Sub-Registrar Ravindra Taru. It was noted that Parth Pawar was not named in this specific complaint. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and other NCP leaders met CM Fadnavis on Friday, after which Ajit Pawar announced that the controversial land purchase deal had been cancelled. However, the Opposition's demand for a full inquiry remains. Against this backdrop, the Chief Minister made it clear that no one will be spared in this case.
