BARAMATI, 7 NOV. Following the major land scandal in Pune, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) held a press conference in Baramati today, levelling another serious allegation against Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

The BSP alleged that many 'Mahar Watan' lands in the Baramati area have been seized or grabbed. They have demanded that the state government issue a White Paper on all 'Watan' lands across Maharashtra, not just focusing on the Pune case. Furthermore, the party reiterated the demand for Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's immediate resignation in light of the ongoing controversies surrounding his son, Parth Pawar, and the alleged land scams.

This press conference connects the recent high-profile land controversy involving the Pawar family in Pune to historical land ownership issues, particularly concerning the 'Watan' lands traditionally held by the Mahar community in the Baramati region, escalating the political pressure on the Deputy Chief Minister.
