PUNE, 6 NOV. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray, during his Pune visit, held a meeting with party office-bearers and issued strict instructions regarding the preparations for the forthcoming local self-government elections. Thackeray sternly warned the officials, stating that elections should not be fought as a "timepass" (a casual activity). He further added, "Show your work; I have not come here for timepass."

He directed every office-bearer and worker to start working seriously with the upcoming local elections—beginning with Municipal Council polls, followed by Zilla Parishad and Municipal Corporation elections—in mind. He emphasized that MNS workers must reach every voter and work diligently on the voter lists. Issuing a stern ultimatum, he said, "If you are not prepared, go join another party." He also assured the officials that he would personally handle the financial aspects related to the candidates, regardless of their economic background. Finally, he ordered the officials to submit the list of booth representatives for their respective wards by the same night.
