The Tuljaram Chaturchand Arts, Science and Commerce College (Autonomous), run by the Akhil Anantha Education Society, has once again achieved a milestone in higher education excellence. The college has been awarded the highest ‘A++’ grade (CGPA 3.51) in the fourth cycle of accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru.

The NAAC peer team conducted an online assessment visit to the college on May 15 and 16, 2025, evaluating academic performance, facilities, and institutional quality. The team comprised Dr. Amitava Das, Director, Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (Chairperson); Dr. Naeem Kidwai, Professor, Integral University, Lucknow (Coordinator); Dr. Bhushan Chandra Pathak (Member); and Dr. B.S. Ponmudiraj, NAAC Coordinator.

NAAC announced the results through an official letter dated October 31, 2025, conferring the ‘A++’ grade valid for the next five years. With this recognition, T.C. College becomes the third autonomous college in India and the first in Maharashtra to earn the topmost grade in the fourth NAAC cycle — a historic achievement for the institution.

During the evaluation, the committee reviewed the college’s implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the introduction of multidisciplinary and skill-based curricula, the establishment of modern laboratories, research centers in 11 disciplines, and student-centric initiatives such as placement, innovation, and skill development cells. The team also noted significant advancements in infrastructure, including solar panels, sports facilities, botanical garden, cultural and NSS units, and commended the institution for its holistic development approach.

The committee appreciated the college’s excellence across all parameters and extended best wishes for its future goal of attaining university status.

This remarkable success is credited to the dedicated leadership of Principal Dr. Avinash Jagtap, Vice-Principals Dr. Yogini Mule, Dr. Ashok Kalange, Dr. Sachin Gadekar, Assistant Coordinator Dr. Arun Magar, all Deans, IQAC members, faculty, administrative staff, and students.

The management of the Anantha Education Society — Chairman Jawahar Shah (Wagholikar), Secretary Milind Shah (Wagholikar), and Treasurer Vikas Shah (Lengarekar) — congratulated the college team for their outstanding achievement.
