A long-awaited and historic political development unfolded in Karad as key leaders of the Janshakti Front joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the leadership of District President and MLA Dr. Atul Bhosale. The move is expected to significantly alter the city’s political landscape.

During the induction ceremony at the BJP state headquarters in Mumbai, Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil expressed confidence that both Karad and Malkapur municipalities will soon come under BJP’s control, stating that “Atulbaba has transformed the political map of Karad.”

Prominent entrants included Sharadatai Jadhav, Karad’s first elected woman Municipal President, former corporators Arun Jadhav, Atul Shinde, Ashok Bhosale, Anandrao Palkar, and several respected local figures.
Minister Ravindra Chavan said the move strengthens the BJP’s mission to make India a global power by 2047 under PM Narendra Modi and CM Devendra Fadnavis.

Dr. Bhosale praised the Jadhav family’s contribution to Karad’s development and said the BJP is committed to fulfilling their vision for the city’s growth. With this major political shift, Karad’s politics enters a new era, clearly tilting in favor of the BJP.
