The much-awaited draw for the reservation of chairperson posts across 13 Panchayat Samitis in Pune district was conducted under the chairmanship of District Collector Jitendra Dudi at the multipurpose hall, 5th floor, District Collector’s Office.

The process, held in a transparent manner, was attended by District Nodal Officer and Deputy Collector (ROHYO) Dr. Charushila Deshmukh-Mohite, Tehsildar Jagdish Nimbalkar, Rahul Sarang, along with teachers and students from Zilla Parishad Primary School, Lonikand, elected representatives, and several citizens.

Details of the Reservation Announced for Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Posts:

Indapur: Scheduled Caste

Junnar: Scheduled Tribe (Women)

Daund, Purandar: Other Backward Class

Shirur, Maval: Other Backward Class (Women)

Velhe, Mulshi, Bhor, Khed: General (Women)

Haveli, Baramati, Ambegaon: General

The draw was conducted by the students of Zilla Parishad Primary School, Lonikand, ensuring fairness and transparency in the process.

The reservation will remain effective for a period of two and a half years for the chairperson posts across all Panchayat Samitis in the district.
