PUNE, 4 NOV. Bajirao Road, located in the central part of Pune, is characterised by heavy traffic and crowds every day. Amidst this constant hustle and bustle, a young man was attacked with a sharp weapon and brutally murdered on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred at a time when people were continuously moving on the road. Despite the presence of the public, the accused attacked him with the weapon and attempted to flee.
The deceased has been identified as Mayank Kharade. Preliminary information suggests that he was a resident of Ambil Odha. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police immediately arrived at the scene and have launched a search operation to apprehend the accused. However, this incident has presented a fresh challenge to the police. Just a few days ago, Ganesh Kale was also murdered in broad daylight in the Kondhwa area. These recurring incidents have raised serious questions about the state of law and order and the effectiveness of police functioning in the city.
