Finolex Industries, through its CSR arm Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), has completed a decade-long journey of dedicated service in providing healthcare and rehabilitation support for children affected by cerebral palsy. To commemorate this milestone, the foundation organized a special program celebrating its 10-year mission of care and inclusion.

As part of the anniversary initiative, MMF conducted medical camps for children and awareness sessions for parentsin Satara and Ratnagiri districts.

The Cerebral Palsy Mission, launched in 2015 by Finolex Industries and MMF, began modestly — providing wheelchairs to affected children. Over time, it evolved into a comprehensive health initiative focusing on early diagnosis, medical treatment, rehabilitation, and social reintegration of children with cerebral palsy.

The first CP Mission camp was organized in Satara ten years ago. Since then, MMF has received invaluable support from leading Pune hospitals such as Ruby Hall Clinic, Bharati Hospital, KEM Hospital, and Sancheti Hospital. Together, they have offered medical checkups, surgeries, physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy, orthotic support, and parental counseling.

Under the mission, multiple evaluation and treatment camps have been held in Satara, Ratnagiri, Porvorim (Goa), and Masar (Gujarat), involving multidisciplinary teams of orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, physiotherapists, speech and occupational therapists, and ophthalmologists.
The mission has also established 10 permanent rehabilitation centers across Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa. Over 1,300 ASHA and ANM workers, 250 teachers, and 50 doctors have been trained in early detection and care management, significantly enhancing rural healthcare capacity and ensuring timely treatment for affected children.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, MMF continued its commitment to providing treatment and care to children with cerebral palsy. The mission’s model of public-private healthcare collaboration has become a benchmark in community health initiatives.
Parents of the children report a positive transformation in their outlook and quality of life, thanks to consistent medical support and counseling.
